The night was kicked off by some beautiful Spanish sparkling wine after which the Chilean, Australian, New Zealand, Italian, Spanish and French whites and reds flowed courtesy of Angove Family Winemakers. Our pick of the night was the Campo Burgo Casecha Tempranillo 2009 from Rioja, Spain. We could have happily nursed a bottle or two of this!

Cheeses were provided by Jones the Grocer and started off with the heavenly fresh Holy Goat La Luna and ended with a bang at the Papillon Roquefort. Our pick of the night was the Testun al Barolo sheep and cow from Piedmont, Italy… It would be impossible to grow old of this soulful semi hard covered in grape skins and seeds which impart a beautiful warm flavour.

The canapés on offer were a heavenly way to get the taste buds dancing and were starring none other than Gastronomè goodies.  Delicious filo tartlets with cherry tomatoes were topped off by Gastronomè Pucker up Smoked Almond Pesto. A little later, a platter of delicious salami, cornichons, Sicilian olives, Kalamata olives and Gastronomè Devilish Tomato Relish and Irresistible Caramelised Onions was presented.. what a treat!!
